Meniscus Tear Treatment
In Mill Park
Bend, Squat, Walk Easier
Meniscus pain can make crouching, twisting or longer walks feel sharp and unreliable. We’ll settle irritation, restore smooth knee mechanics and rebuild strength so stairs, squats and daily tasks can finally feel natural.
Understanding Meniscus Injuries
The meniscus shares load and guides knee motion. Tears range from small, stable frays to larger or locking lesions. Not all need surgery. Your assessment clarifies tear behaviour, swelling, range limits and strength, then separates true mechanical blocks from irritable but stable patterns. Understanding the type and behaviour of your tear allows a plan that targets function rather than fear.
Treatment That Matches The Tear
For stable tears, early goals are swelling control, comfortable range and quad activation without provocation. We build strength through squats, split-squats and step work in ranges you tolerate, then add rotation control, walking pace and uneven surfaces. If your knee locks or gives way mechanically, we’ll coordinate imaging and an orthopaedic opinion; either way, prehab strengthens your outcome and post-op we guide protection, range and capacity back to sport or work.
Why Choose Physium For Meniscus Care
Relief and active rehab live in one place, making it easy to turn early wins into real-world capacity. We use imaging and surgical referrals only when they change decisions and keep communication tidy with your GP or surgeon. NDIS participants are supported with measurable outcomes—stairs, time-on-feet and community participation.

From Pavement To Park
As tolerance grows, we add hills, grass and gentle change-of-direction, then test quality under light fatigue so improvements hold when life speeds up.
Building Resilience: A Practical Approach to Knee Health
We coach squat depth, stance width and tempo you can repeat without next-day spikes, then widen range as the knee proves it can handle it. The aim is simple: knees that move smoothly through your actual week.
Stage gates we commonly use:
Swelling down and range improving without flare
Quad/hip strength restored with good control
