Adonia's Experience
Adonia Kalandos is a physiotherapist who brings a calm, friendly, and genuine approach to care. Patients often describe her as easy to talk to, understanding, and someone who takes the time to really listen.
Adonia has always been drawn to helping people. As her understanding of the body grew through university and her own experience with injury and training, physiotherapy became the clear fit. She enjoys helping people recover from injury, reduce pain, move better, and get back to the things that matter to them.
Her approach starts with understanding the person in front of her — not just the injury. She takes time to learn each patient’s story, what has been going on, what matters most to them, and what they want to get back to. From there, she builds a clear plan that gives patients direction and confidence from the first session.
Adonia uses a combination of hands-on treatment and exercise-based rehabilitation, with each plan shaped around the individual and their goals. She has a strong interest in sporting injuries, return-to-sport rehabilitation, neck and back pain, post-operative rehab, injury prevention, gym-related injuries, overuse presentations, and tendon-related conditions.
She enjoys helping patients through every stage of recovery — whether that means settling pain, restoring movement, rebuilding strength, or guiding a safe return to sport after surgery or injury. She places a strong focus on education, realistic goal setting, and steady progress, so patients feel informed, reassured, and supported the whole way through.
Adonia holds a Bachelor of Biomedicine with Honours and a Master of Physiotherapy. She is AHPRA registered and also holds Level 1 Sports Trainer accreditation.
Outside the clinic, Adonia enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends and family, and staying connected with her community and church. She also has a creative side and loves painting and drawing when she gets the chance. She used to play soccer when she was younger and still enjoys watching it, and at home she’s kept company by Lola — her chocolate brown Toy Poodle, who is equal parts cute and clingy.
Her simple advice is one she comes back to often: move your body in any way that feels good — move your young body for your elderly body.

Adonia’s Approach
Adonia believes good physiotherapy starts with listening. In a first appointment, she focuses on understanding the patient’s history, building rapport, and making sure they leave with something helpful — whether that is pain relief, clearer answers, or exercises to get started.
She works collaboratively with patients to set goals that are realistic, meaningful, and broken down into achievable steps. Progress is tracked through regular re-assessment, patient feedback, and changes in pain, movement, and function over time.
For post-operative patients, Adonia places a strong emphasis on education, clear timeframes, and guidance through each stage of rehab. For sports injuries, she uses structured and progressive rehab that builds from pain management and movement restoration through to strength, plyometrics, and return-to-sport readiness.
